Polka dots are a classic pattern, and once more they are back.

The idea of this vintage print brings us to the PIN UP STYLE.

I think this pattern is very cute, and it is possible to do amazing outfits with it.

If you have a classic style, bet on a polka dots dress with more neutral accessories.

If you are daring and stylish, the cool thing is making unusual combinations with other prints such as animal print for example.

If you have a more basic style, opt for a skirt or blouse with black or white dots. The complementary top or bottom should be white.

TIP: everyone can wear the polka dots, but if you’re a little overweight opt for smaller dots. The skinny ones can wear both small and large dots.

I’ve invested in some polka dots clothes and soon I will show them here on the blog on my “Look of the Day”, okay?!

How are you, my dear readers? Looking forward into the long weekend? Soon I’m going to pack my bags and leave for the Northeast of Brazil (It is a paradisiacal region with wonderful beaches!) to renew my energies!

Today the look features a little more of my Style: I love shirts and mini-skirts.

This shirt is super comfortable, but to avoid wearing a simple shirt, I chose this one because of its detail that makes a great difference!

The skirt dispenses any additional comments, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It is made of leather and is full of details: these fringes on the skirt are the highlight!

Mix Wristbands + Clutch Bag = Fantastic Combo

The clutch bag gives a special touch to the look, many women do not like them because they are small, but I love them, since I use to carry only the essential things with me.

This necklace is my passion, and has a beautiful story: My hubby gave it to me on a trip we made. It is a Swarovski necklace, and this heart is made of a very delicate crystal, every time I wear it I take a huge care, because I am really afraid of losing or breaking it.

And finally to put some color in look, I chose this shoe yellow with polka dots and these cute ties.

During World War II, the actresses used to dress themselves in a romantic and sensual way to entertain and cheer the soldiers on the front.

The soldiers used to collect photos and drawings of these actresses dressed in a different way and hang them on the walls of the housings, hence the term “pin-up.

The pin-ups show a gentle touch of eroticism. Although they are really sexy, a component of romanticism is also present in the pin-up style.

The most famous pin-up of all times was certainly the beautiful and stunning Marilyn Monroe.

Regarding to the drawings, the highlight is for Betty Boop and Jessica Rabbit:

The most famous pin-ups today are: Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry.

Several famous women have dressed themselves as pin-up to do photo essays, let’s see some examples:

If you constantly wear vintage clothing and accessories, skirts and shorts with high waist, tie blouses, short dresses, head scarves, cherry prints and polka dots, then you have a pin-up style.
